Hurricane Harvey Benefit Drive

Hustle For The Cause and Raasin in the Sun are organizations based out of Austin with Houston, Texas Roots. Both Denise D. Hernandez, Co-Founder of Hustle For The Cause, and Raasin McIntosh, Founder of Raasin in the Sun, were raised in Houston, Texas. It is in the Houston community where these ladies developed a passion for community service.
Watching Hurricane Harvey break down their hometown, both Denise and Raasin felt compelled to step up to help their city. As a result, Hustle For The Cause and Raasin in the Sun partnered to create The Hurricane Harvey Benefit Drive to collect supplies and donations for different shelters throughout Houston.
The drive will take place this Friday, September 1st at Nutty Brown Cafe 5pm-9pm. There will be food and live music by Jai Malano, Eric Burton, and Bob Schneider (more information below)!
If you would like to donate supplies, please bring the following as these items are short in supplies in Houston:
- Socks
- Diapers
- Baby Formula
- Towels
- Pillows
- Blankets
- Toothbrushes
- Toothpaste
- and other hygiene items like travel sized shampoo, soap, tampons, conditioner, etc
All These items will be distributed to several shelters in the Greater Houston area on Saturday, September 2nd.
If you cannot bring supplies to donate, you can also make a monetary donation and we will use your donation to purchase the supplies listed. Together we are TEXAS STRONG!
